Nestled along the banks of the South Fork Catawba River and looking up to nearby Cramer and Berry Mountain, our native Cramerton is a nature-filled oasis that’s located right in the Charlotte Metro area.
Here, recreational greenways provide miles of nature-filled scenery and fresh air, while our River Front Downtown offers quaint, cozy boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants perfect for passing an entire afternoon or evening enjoying the sights and sounds of the local area.
Cramerton is actually the only true “river town” in this region! With that, residents have multiple options for soaking in our breathtaking, waterfront views, whether from the observation pier, or while strolling the pedestrian bridges over the river and admiring the paddlers below. Throughout town, public art installations capture Cramerton’s past and present, while Centennial Center plays host to public concerts, outdoor movies and special events throughout the year.
Rich with heritage, Cramerton still honors its history as a textile producer and originator of Cramerton Army Cloth, which comprised the standard-issue military uniforms following World War I. Only few of the old buildings have survived, but Cramerton’s history is still told in the many landmarks and celebrations that continue to this day. There’s also Historic Downtown Belmont just beyond the city limits, and the world-class amenities and entertainment options throughout Charlotte just waiting to be explored.
